Throughout history, military conflicts have provoked impassioned debate over the role of force in defending free and democratic societies. Regardless of your personal feelings about war, we hope all Americans can agree the rights we enjoy today would not exist, were it not for the willingness of men long dead to breathe life into the Declaration of Independence with actions suited to its fiery rhetoric.

Operation Fresh Air provides families of
wounded soldiers and Marines from Walter Reed RAMC and Bethesda
NH with the opportunity to escape the hospital wards for an
afternoon. In partnership with other local groups who support
military veterans, we offer great food, sunshine, fun and
games, fishing, music, boat rides, and above all the chance
to relax and unwind in a beautiful wooded park setting.
